Terminal with rail siding in Castelfranco Veneto

Strategic logistics solution for combined road-rail transport: expansion of the range of services and optimisation of transport times

In 2009 Settentrionale Trasporti opened its branch in Castelfranco Veneto, which serves as a strategic terminal for combined road-rail traffic.
In addition to the recycling of railway sleepers, since 2015 the modern logistics centre has also served as an interface for the transport and recycling of scrap metal. The strategic location and modern facilities are ideally suited as an intermodal platform for the intermediate storage and distribution of goods of all kinds, which can be loaded onto entire trains here.

The terminal has:
  • A paved area of 5.000 m²
  • an indoor area of 2.000 m²
  • 500 m² of office space
  • Rail siding for complete trains up to 500 metres long
  • Fork lift trucks and rotating cranes for moving packed and bulk goods
